RTA's 121st Dubai Plate Auction (24 October 2026): BB 80, BB 18, CC 44 and the 60 Plates on Offer
Quick answer: Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) held its 121st open auction of distinctive number plates on Saturday, 24 October 2026, in Al Joud Hall at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City. Sixty plates with two, three, four and five digits went under the hammer, across the codes AA, BB, CC, H, U, V, W, X, Y and Z. The headline lots were three two-digit "super" plates: BB 80, BB 18 and CC 44.
RTA usually publishes the total and the top prices a day or two after the sale; after the 120th auction on Saturday, 27 December 2025, the figures followed on the Monday. We will add the official hammer prices to this article the moment RTA releases them. Until then, everything below is confirmed by RTA's own announcement and the UAE press.
What went under the hammer on 24 October
RTA put up 60 plates this time. That is a smaller catalogue than usual: the 116th to 120th open auctions each offered 90 plates. The selection, in RTA's words, was chosen for distinctive combinations and ease of recall, from two-digit doubles down to five-digit numbers.

Across these ten sales, a two-digit double-letter plate fetched between AED 6.16 million and AED 14 million. A repeated digit has led three of these five auctions: BB 55 (117th), CC 22 (118th) and BB 88 (119th). CC 44 is the repeated-digit plate of the 121st sale.

The 120th auction in December 2025 set the record at AED 109 million; read our report on BB 12 selling for AED 9.66 million. The 121st auction offered a third fewer plates than that sale, so its total is not directly comparable: the result will mostly depend on how far BB 80, BB 18 and CC 44 were pushed.
What to watch when the results come out
- The top plate. Whether BB 80, BB 18 or CC 44 leads, and how it sits against BB 88 (AED 14 million) and BB 12 (AED 9.66 million).
- The total with 60 plates. The 116th to 120th auctions each offered 90.
- The rest of the catalogue. The three-, four- and five-digit plates, which RTA usually lists below the headline lots.
