For Transfers
Once a buyer and seller agree on a price, the transfer of ownership follows the official RTA process (in Dubai) or the relevant traffic authority in other Emirates. We guide both parties through documentation, verification, RTA app submission, and confirmation.
For high-value plates where both parties want added assurance, we coordinate in-person meetings at our Burj Gate office.

How We Keep Transactions Safe
Number plate trading in the UAE involves real money. A single-digit Dubai plate can sell for upward of AED 50 million. Even a clean four-digit combination can reach six figures. At those values, both buyers and sellers need confidence that the process will be handled properly.
LicensePlate.ae does not process payments or hold funds. What we do is ensure that both parties have accurate information, verified identities through our agent screening, and a clear understanding of the official transfer steps required by the RTA or the relevant traffic authority in each emirate. Every transfer of plate ownership in the UAE must go through official government channels. There are no shortcuts, and we do not encourage any.
Our physical office at 48 Burj Gate is open for in-person meetings. For high-value transactions, we regularly host buyer-seller meetings at the office where both parties can verify documents and discuss terms face to face before proceeding with the official RTA transfer. That option exists because we believe that trust, at the top end of this market, is built in person — not just online.

Dubai
The largest and most active plate market in the UAE. Dubai plates use letter codes (A through Z, plus double-letter codes like AA, BB, CC) and digit combinations from 1 to 5 digits. Record sales include P7 at AED 55 million and AA9 at AED 38 million. The RTA manages all Dubai plate auctions, transfers, and registrations.
